Our Mission
The mission of DIY: Dorm It Yourself is to guide incoming college freshmen through their difficult transition from home to on-campus residence by providing tutorials for room decor and utility that are affordable and simple. Although these projects were created to suit the needs of college students, we believe they can be useful for anyone who wishes to enhance their living space in an inexpensive and fun way! About Us
DIY: Dorm It Yourself was founded by Aishwarya, Atulya, Lauren and Olivia on January 5th, 2017. As high school juniors about to enter the postsecondary world, we realized that every penny saved matters for college students. We believe a highly underrated stategy is the cost-effectiveness of dorm decor. We decided to approach this issue by publishing tutorials of room decor projects on a website, the most popular media platform in today's society.

Technology Innovator
With keen attention to detail, Aishwarya was the perfect choice to be the group's technology innovator. She established the website's consistency and cross-browser compatibility on multiple devices and integrated the use of innovative technology.
Atulya
Content Researcher
Passionate about our cause, Atulya took on the role as the group's content researcher. She found projects suited to the needs of college students, along with their benefits. She provided these resources and ensured that they are being utilized.
Lauren
Layout Designer
With less experience in web design, Lauren was tasked with being the group's layout designer. She created the navigational scheme and the layouts of each page so our website is simple to use for everyone, even those less savvy with technology.
Olivia
Media Producer
As an experienced photographer, Olivia took on the role of graphic and digital media producer. She shot and edited all of the photos and videos used on the website. Additionally, Olivia runs the social media accounts and created the logo.
